Server or Hardware Firewall?

Hello,
I have an old Hp Pavilion 514x, XP Home, 512 M DDR, Intel Celeron processor, On board video, sound and NIC, with a 80 G HDD. I was wondering if anyone thought it would be ok to turn it into a small server for just my 2 PC's, or turn it into a hardware firewall. If so what are your recommendations of programs to use to make it either. Thank you for your time.

If you have a router then you already have a hardware firewall that will suit most needs. You will need to change the software to have any sort of software as XP Home is very limited in its application. Also your hardware is painfully slow even by the standards when it was a new boy on the block. Personally I would not bother.
