Does an LGA 1156 i7 860 *need* 8-pin power? The motherboard's CPU power connector has 8 pins. Is 4-pin sufficient? More about : lga 1156 860 pin power xxxshooter December 2, 2009 8:11:19 PM (Due to the fact that Tom's won't let me edit my post i'm double posting) More specifically I'm using a P55-UD3R with an i7 860. Also, when turned on a unending high-pitched whine is emitted from the speaker. It should be keyed to only fit one way. Can't find your answer ? Ask !
