Last response: in Motherboards

I'm trying to build a small business server thats growing big. i dont know witch mobo to buy. i have came up with these two:

ASUS: P6X58D Premium

I came up with these two because of few reasons
- They support next generation six-core cpu's
- They support Xeon cpu's
- They have USB3 and SATA6Gbps

I simply chose these two models so that later-on i could upgrade the system bye simply changing the cpu (i7 930 to i7 980) or changing the h.d.d to the new ones that support 6Gbps.

Could any one help me choose one. I'm going to buy one in a few days.
Thank you for your time.

I would go with the GIGABYTE: GA-X58A-UD3R, since it has 8 - SATA II ports and 2 - SATA III ports, which allows you to add more hard drives as required for a business server, plus you don't need all of the "extras" that come with ASUS.

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

I agree with tecmo34 the ASUS is a very solid mobo but if u don't plan use it for a gaming rig don't waste the money on it. Go with the UD3R.
