PCI-E x16 and PCI-E x16 2.1 Need help

Hello

Im buying a video card

XFX HD-585X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5850 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16


I have a ASUS Striker Extreme that has PCI-E x16 slots


Will this card be backwards compatible with my Striker extreme and if so am I going to notice or have alot of performance lost due to it?



PS:Sorry if I posted in the wrong area, didn't know if I should put it in Motherboards or Graphic Cards forum.

PCI-E 2.0/2.1 is backward compatible with 1.0,so it will work fine(and the performance difference isn't noticeable)
