Please help pentium D upgrade

Hello,
I,ve been researching for weeks and cannot find and straight answers regarding what the best proccesor is I can upgrade to.
I have an older dell dimension 9150 with a dell 0fj030 mobo w/ i945p.
My cpu is pentium d 805 2.66,
socket LGA 775.
I will be building a new system in a few months but for now what would be a good proc to drop in ?
Any info would be awesome!!!!

DELL? A faster Pentium D is about all you can do. But to be sure you can even do that, you have to check with Dell. But really, just save your money for your new build and make do with what you now. It is not worth spending any money on.
