DVD Rom does not Read Disk

I have a LG Dual Layer 22x DVD RW Rom.
If I put in a DVD disk in with files, it does not read it, does not even say that there is a CD in the drive.
I have windows server 2008 rc2. When I go to device manager and try to update driver through there it says it is already updated.
PLEASE HELP ME I WANT TO TRANSFER THE FILES!
EDIT : Some dvds and cds it can SEE.....like how much space is used up......but when left click and OPEN it says NOTHING INSIDE

Sounds like you have a faulty DVD drive, you could try cleaning the laser with one of those laser head cleaning CD’s. Or maybe its time to get a new drive.

SORRY lol i fixed it. lol!!. It was so eassssy. The driver that came with it is like a Firmware Update thing. So i did it and now its transferring nice and fast.
I knew it wasnt broken because it is like 4 months old.
