I know that fs x is cpu dependent and that I should get the best processor I can afford but the display I will be using is only 1280x1024. I know the best cpu for fs x is an i7 but I dont want to spend that much, so at such a low resolution will fs x run well on a processor around $100 such as the Athlon II 630 or a dual core intel?

I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible. I really dont want to spend more than 200 for the cpu and motherboard combined
I already have a 600w OCZ psu so power isnt an issue

Yea, go ahead with the athlon quads, mobo for around 90$ max, depends if you need CF/SLi in future and ddr2 or ddr3 ram

I think I will wait until closer to summer because it hurts to pay over $100 for 4gb of ram. I am pretty educated about computer parts, except for motherboards. Any you recommend? Otherwise I would just look on newegg for something with good reviews because I know nothing about them. I plan on using ddr3 ram and I want a full size mobo. No desire to use CF or sli
