What kind of upgrade can i do for better gamming

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6700 at 2.67GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 4M Cache

Tagan TG800-U25 EasyCon XL nVidia-SLI Certified 800Watt Power Supply

nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB DDR3

2GB Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 DDR2 800MHz

this is what i have and i dont wana break the bank please answer in laymans terms thanks for any input

The 8800GTX is still a good card that holds it own anything worth upgrading to is going to run about $200 or more

thanks what my plan was as time goes by keep upgrading a componet a year or so iam never to far off from having to buy a whole new system i will add more memory for sure

Your motherboard only supports DDR2. You should match your old modules.

Yes, 2 more GB will be great. And you are still able to upgrade your CPU without replacing your motherboard. I'd try to buy a Core 2 Quad OEM CPU for a good price (try eBay). A Q9550 would be a heck of a nice upgrade. Don't buy retail, though (unless you want the worthless Intel cooler). And then you'll "need" a new videocard, the best bang for your buck right now, is the Ati Radeon 4890. But If you want SLI for more power, try to find a deal on two GTX260. Avoid the GTX280/285 though, these are extremely overpriced. Might as well go for the Radeon HD 5850/5870...
