More about what kind upgrade gamming
  1. Which operating system? Looks like a fairly decent rig.
  2. windows vista
  3. I would start with 2 more GB ram and see from there.
  4. The 8800GTX is still a good card that holds it own anything worth upgrading to is going to run about $200 or more
  5. thanks what my plan was as time goes by keep upgrading a componet a year or so iam never to far off from having to buy a whole new system i will add more memory for sure
  6. one more ? when i upgrade my memory wpould i go to ddr3 or stay at 2
  7. Your motherboard only supports DDR2. You should match your old modules.
  8. Yes, 2 more GB will be great. And you are still able to upgrade your CPU without replacing your motherboard. I'd try to buy a Core 2 Quad OEM CPU for a good price (try eBay). A Q9550 would be a heck of a nice upgrade. Don't buy retail, though (unless you want the worthless Intel cooler). And then you'll "need" a new videocard, the best bang for your buck right now, is the Ati Radeon 4890. But If you want SLI for more power, try to find a deal on two GTX260. Avoid the GTX280/285 though, these are extremely overpriced. Might as well go for the Radeon HD 5850/5870...
