Hi.

It's incorporated on the mobo BUT u need load the RAID drivers when u are doing the OS installation.

Are you sure that it's a hardware RAID controller and not fake RAID? A hardware RAID controller usually costs more than this motherboard.

What's a fake RAID? As far as I know, a lot of motherboards come with integrated SATA RAID nowadays.

Dedicated RAID controllers added on via (for example) PCI/PCI-e are (to my understanding) more expensive because they provide better performance and more features than integrated solutions.

A fake Raid is like Intel ICHxR that requires specific drivers and doesn't have BBU, etc. They actually are quite good, but they just can't compete with high-end hardware controllers. For hardware Raid, an add-on and expensive controller is required.

how much of a boost would i see going from a single hdd to integrated (using motherboard raid controller) raid 0?

It would usually be faster, but the risks of losing your data are also increased. The performance boost depends on what you use your system for; benchmarks usually perform better than real applications that don't continuously access the hard disk.
