Hi wondering if anyone can solve for this. Just installed a 2 tb seagate hard drive because my last drive crashed. I had to install windows over again starting with vista which is the only disk I initially had. I partitioned the new drive at 495 gigs as that is the only option window gave me. I reloaded windows 7, but my system, even the bios cmos does not recognize anything space past 500 gigs.

does anyone have any recommendations? my bios is up-to-date.

thanks.

Disk Management gives you no option ?

How old is the mobo ? Model ?

That may be due to motherboard limitation. Post your motherboard model, and are you on the latest BIOS?

Hi guys thanks for the responses. I caused this issue by having multiple seagate drives and confusing the ata cables.
