my asus m3n78-em motherboard does not support 6 gb ddr2 ram

  1. Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

    Ur mobo support 8GB max, so, should support the 6GB without problems.

    Now, if u want run 6GB in tri-channel that isn't possible with DDR2 or DDR3 and AMD CPUs.

    If u refer to another specific problem we need more details about the problem that u have.

  6. i have amd phenom x4 9950 quad core processor asus m3n78-em mb i have installed windows 7 x64 os my motherboard drivers dvd does not work in windows 7 i have ram problem as specified above
  7. Go here and download the last BIOS version for ur mobo (0710).

    Download too the manual of the mobo and read the pages 2 to 11 to know how update the BIOS version of ur rig.
