Posting what the issue is, what you tried, error messages, etc... will help, that way there is no wasted time asking one question at a time. Do you have the restore disks, if not, contact IBM/Lenovo and get some, or get a valid XP setup disk at least with a code. If you do have the disks, what is going on when you try to restore things.
