i have an amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor -2.4ghz i just wanted to know if im bottlenecking my graphics card its a bfg nvidia 7800 gtx and i wanted to know if i could overclock my cpu to fix it
No, I don't think that there is much of a bottleneck but overclocking the CPU, GPU or ram will improve general/gaming performance.
ok i overclocked my cpu to 2800 mhz what should i overclock my gpu to? core clock = 460 mhz and memory clock=1300 mhz <--- thats factory btw both core clock and memory clock
I think a 500mhz core clock and 670mhz mem (1340mhz effective) would probably be a good overclock although you could tweak it higher later on. But do watch out for the temps...
The card is somewhat old now though and if you could afford it I would suggest buying a new card/system.
