Will the E1505 run DDR2 800 at 800Mhz with aT9300 CPU

Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505, I know that the chipset will allow a 800 FSB CPU, but it says at Intel that the 945 can run a 800/1066Mhz FSB CPU's

IF I buy 4GB of DDR2 800Mhz will it run at that Speed, running a CPU like the T9300 that has a 800FSB?

It has a T7400 in it and 2GB of DDR2 667. I know it will run 4GB, so I'm looking to upgrade that, and possibly change a
T9300 that I have in a newer Notebook with intel graphics to the E1505, so I can run some games on it, and Encode videos to DIVX, faster.

I have seen a few threads about the DDR2 667, which I know it will run, but I've never seen one about DDR2 800
which is why I ask.

Thanks,

KodyJoe

PS. I already use my XPS 730x to encode DIVX, and play any game I want with it at high rez :D .

  1. No one's got an answer?

    I'm very curious about this, because I'm thinking of upgrading my aging E1505 from a T2400 w/ 2gigs of ram to a T9300 & 4 gigs ( if it will support this upgrade if not a T8300 & 4 gigs I guess).

Did you ever get this done? I am wanting to upgrade my e1505 also.

Dell indicates low limits, but the forums say otherwise.

    fsb is 533/667

I would like to be able to add a T7600 or better cpu and 4gb of ram.

Did you ever give it a try?
