1066MHz memory in 800MHz slot

Hi all,

I'm looking to "budget upgrade" my computer, mostly because my motherboard died, and I've decided that I want to upgrade to 4Gb of ram. I found a deal on Newegg and decided to get this mother board ( http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=925&CategoryID=1&MenuID=16&LanID=9 ) as part of a Celeron combo. It has two ram slots and is rated at 667/800MHz.

I'm looking for 4Gb ram for an upgrade, and Newegg has this deal ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227298 ) on memory which happens to be the cheapest I've found for 2x2Gb memory. The only reason I'm considering it is because it is cheap.

My questions are these: Is it ok to run the higher rated ram in the lower rated slots, and will the higher voltage of the ram (2.1-2.2v) of the ram cause any problems such as excessive heat, etc.?

I'm trying to keep my computer as heat-free and low voltage as possible, I'm going with a 450w psu and not overclocking or gaming, and I was wondering if this ram would cause a problem or if I would be better off going with something else.

Sorry for my memory noobness. I've tried searching the 'nets for an answer, but there is so much information ! :o

Your mobo supports RAM up to 800 so you're fine.
