Correct that BIOS update from crashing

I need more information to what I need to correct the BIOS. - Windows XP
Originally I attempted to update the BIOS; it now loops during the Windows setup process. The blue bars cross the dialog box six time's and crashes.
& F10 is not functioning.

HP Pavilion Media Center TV Desktop PC m7000
serial# MXF6490L04
system number RC643AA
hp Pavilion m7667c desktop
- ( P5BW-LA-00) Motherboard
- Phoenix- Award Bios - BROADWATER

1) make sure you've updated your motherboard bios with the latest version
2) load factory defaults in bios
3) if you are still unable to install windows then disable ACHI mode for the chipset controller and try again.

Okay but I do not have any knowledge to complete a task as: disable the ACHI mode for the chipset controller -P5BW-LA-00. I seriously need more help with it.

I've changed to Serial ATA AHCI Bios, an is still crashing during boot.

Thanks. I switched the ACHI mode to fix it all.
