2 servers and 2 email accounts running on one computer

Help! I have one server and e-mail account and my
boyfriend has another server and e-mail account installed
on my computer. His server keeps dialing to connect when
it is disconnected - does anyone have an answer for this?
And then we have 2 differenct e-mail accounts - mine works
fine but his doesn't. Somethimes he gets his e-mail
sometimes he doesn't. What causes this?
