Hi I'm steve....

I have planned to buy a ATI Graphic card for playing and watching HD movies in my home.

B'cos i 'am going to buy a new FULL HD (1920 X1080 resolution)
“LG M227WA” or “LG M237WA” LCD Monitor cum TV which has the folowing ports:- (2 HDMI input ports, 1 DVI-D Input(PC), 1 RGB Input (PC), 1 Component Input, 1 RF Antenna input) & etc.....

Pls help me

1. Tell me a graphic card (PCI EXPRESS x16) which can be used in Windows XP Profesional 2002 Sp3.

2. My PC woks on 230volt power supply b'coz i'm in india..

3. I want to know who is the best manufacturer of ATI RADEON.

4. My budget is max $65=INR 3000.

5. Pls help me in getting a Graphic card with several of those ports mentioned above, especially with HDMI, DVI-D & several of those ports.

Please reply soon. Im eager to buy it soon. Also pls advice on the Lg monitor.

Well for an ATI card the 4650 or 4670 falls close to your price range (here in the US), I don’t know what the price is in India.

[strike]As for drivers... unfortunately at the ATI website windows 2000 drivers only go up to the x850 series, driver version 6.12[/strike]

[strike]I’m not too familiar with older cards than the 4000 series and their capability for 1080 video output so someone else could help you with that.[/strike]

[strike]It seems your current version of windows is holding you back. Might want to think about upgrading it.[/strike]
 
He said he is using XP.
I would avoid an HD4670 with a 230 watt PSU. If it's a sketchy brand even the HD4650 may be pushing it but it will probably be ok. If you want to be totally safe go for an HD4550 or HD4350.

Your right i completely skipped over the XP part and just read it as windows 2002... my bad.
