I'm trying to squeeze more frame rates out of games, namely Crysis.

I have this http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/t-series/cpu_support.php?S_ID=344 motherboard.

Is this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103809 processor the best I can put on my board??

And Also is this a worthwhile upgrade from my current http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103281&cm_re=phenom_8650-_-19-103-281-_-Product processor???

About how much faster would the upgrade be?

Current System specs:

22" (19xx by 1050)
Corsair 450w psu
phenom 8650
2gb ddr2 800mhz
radeon hd5770 1gb

Yes, that's the best CPU your board will support. It should be a big improvement. There's more cache, a lot faster clock speed, and an extra core.

the 945 got 3493 points your current cpu got 1922 points at Passmark CPU bench. So it's like +80% performance.

you may also want to get a bit more ram to take full advantage of that 5770 and your nice new cpu.

945 is potentially an underclocked 955.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 - 3.2GHz - 2MB L2 - 6MB L3 vs. AMD Phenom X3 8650 - 2.3GHz - 1.5MB L2 - 2MB L3

It shows that there is a huge difference in performance. ~35 to 40%
