Updating Driver Question

I want to update the video driver for my XFX ATI Radeon HD 5850. I am running in Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. In the Control Panel in Uninstall Programs it only lists the ATI Control Center. Do I need to uninstall the Control Center everytime I want to update the actual video driver which is a seperate file from the ATI Control Center?

1. Uninstall the old driver(and Control Center)

2. Restart windows to safe mode

3. With driverSweeper clean the remaining stuff from the old driver.

4. Restart windows normal and install the new drivers.
