Hitachi hard disk cant be seen

Hello,
I formated my acer laptop HDD now I cant see it even if I put it as slave to my PC. I even formated the EISA congiguration partition

Just to clarify - you said you formatted the HDD and you can't see it now. Does that mean your laptop doesn't even boot up?
Please provide as much information as you can and somebody here would be able to come up with some solution.
