Issue with A8N-Sli

This board requires a bios update to detect the second core properly on my processor. The issue I have is when I try to use the asus bios updater I get some issue about an unkown eeprom type. Does anyone have knowledge on this?

you may need to replace your dual core CPU with a single core S939 CPU in order to update the bios. check ebay or raid your friends old pats buckets. i had an A8n SLI deluxe for many years and i loved it. very stable and overclockable

I'm not sure that is the issue. It is eeprom known issue but Ive googled multiple times, searched other sites, so I thought Id ask directly.
