Alright so im looking for a monitor online. And ive seen many like this one:

and ive noticed they have a DVI plug. The question I have is can i use a connector such as:

to plug my xbox directly into the monitor using the red, blue green cables? The only problem that seems to arrise is that the connector is only compatible with ATI "graphics cards" and im not sure if it would work or not with the monitor. Any input guys?

This only work for the output of a certain video cards, as stated ATI cards. Certain pins are mapped and used as the RGB outputs on the actual card. It doesn't convert signals. I am not familar with the XBOX360 outputs but do the not have an HDMI output? you could use that to a monitor or get an HDMI to DVI adapter.

The only other solution I can think of is get a monitor with a built in tuner, most of these have the component and RGB inputs. Like this one:

Yes... I'd go the DVI-HDMI adapter way if you can. Although if you have an old Xbox this won't work because you don't have HDMI. A plug like the one you posted can work... I used a setup like this with my xbox successfully. BUT... I used the adaptor that came with my geforce card. Since it says ATI only I'd assume it wouldn't map correctly with Geforce Cards.
