More about sata important
  1. yeah there are a couple mechanical hdds using this but its really meant for SSDs grant it the sata 6gbs are far and few just give it by the end of the year there should be more and it will cheapen the sata II which are still fast and faster then a mechanical hdd
  2. so does a SSD that is 6gb compatible like really really fast compared to a SSD 3gb compatible?
  3. It would be obvious faster but should check out whether it would go on with your system.
  4. "Most" hard drives would be fine with the SATA I spec... The only time it would be faster is when reading from the onboard cache!

Mechanical hard drives will fine for a while with SATA II unless you are going Raid 0.

USB 3 will become more important for people with external storage.

    Not yet...

I'm sure the manufactures will make them faster soon.
