Using Internal Enclosure without Fan?

I was wondering if it would be safe to run my Internal Hard Drive enclosures without the supplied fan attached, only using the case's fans to cool the drives, because I don't have enough molex connections on my drive to power the fans on the Internal enclosures. Thanks.

I do it that way to reduce noise. I'd suggest that you run a tool like SpeedFan that will monitor the self-reported temperatures of the hard drives and do something about it if they go over some threshold, like 55 degrees Celsius. Some manufacturers spec max temps, some do not.

You can also access this data through the SMART monitor.

Edit: You can always get Y connectors to attach more fans.
