will the Intel Centrino duo cpu fit in place of the AMD turion 64 x2 T-58
No. Intel and AMD chips and sockets are not compatible with each other.
Plus it's very difficult to upgrade a laptop CPU anyway because most laptops are designed for a specific heat output - if you put in a different chip you could run the risk of the cooling system being inadequate, and problems then arise.
