My parents just brought me a new pc for my xmas present, brought the parts from birmingham computer show, all from the same place all together.

Brought the Gigabyte GA-M85M-US2H(rev1.2) motherboard,
AMD x4 Phenom II 955 CPU

I built it all sat, turned it on for 5 mins to check everything was working (didn't load bios or anything like that) and then turned it off, put it in box ready to open on xmas.

However, looking on the motherboard website, apprently the motherboard does not support the CPU i brought. I'm not 100% positive but im sure when i turned it on the CPU came up as reconised on the startup screen. And as i brought all the parts from the same dealer who recommended the cpu and motherboard, im left thinking whether it will work or not.

So really i want to now will the 2 work together? Has anyone got them working ? Or is there anything i can do to determine whether they will work or not?

Gigabyte GA-M85M-US2H supports AM3 CPU and AMD x4 Phenom II 955 can go in AM2+ or AM3 socket. So the CPU will work with this Mobo.
