I have a VisionTek Radeon HD4850 GDDR3 512MB.
I, also, have an XFG Radeon HD4850 GDDR3 1GB.

What is better? The single 1GB card or x-fire the two?

I assume the result will be 2 x 4850 512GB if I x-fire.

Since I already have both....why not use both...

Thanks in advance....

And I forgot how to update my signature...

I agree, why not use both. Crossfire them. It will only use 512MB from the 1GB card, but who cares. Your system should be ok as far as MB and PSU. Just watch the heat. In Crossfire the top card tends to heat up, so put the best cooled card on top.

Thanks Jay. Anyone else? Any reason why I should go one way or the other?
1 card, newer, maybe better stand alone, 1GB....or
2 cards?
or still.....
newer card with older in reserve in case of problems?????
I know what I want to do but some EXPERT advice always helps a noob...thx

Id say their is not a real difference in running just one 4850 form the other, only that the 1GB card will alow you to crank up AA and AF higher than the 512MB one.

Id crossfire the two since you have them, for comparison a 4850x2 performs just under a 5850, which is currently a $310+ card.
