Which is better for AMD FX-8350, Hyper 212x, Hyper 212 evo or hyper tx3 evo.

if possible please let me know what are the temperatures on idle and load using these coolers..

thanks in advanced

I am with SR-71 on this, the performance of the 212 X doesn't work the price that you have to pay for it. Go with the Evo and would be more that enough for that CPU.

Regarding the temps, those are almost impossible to say since all CPU and rigs are different.

A quick question, I've been thinking of buying a TX3 EVO and mod it with 2 Noctua NF-B9 PWM fans. Do u think it will improve temperature a lot in comparison?
If not, would you mind recommending an alternative fan for me?

Thanks in advance

If you can extend your budget a little more, I would suggest move on to the 212 Evo that is better for price/performance.

In other way, if you are limited to the TX3 evo, you will see some improvement but not a big one.

That's what everyone been telling me, but money is not the issue. My case which has a 155mm limit for CPU cooler is.

But thanks anyway for the feedback =D

What case do you have?

I've considered Seidon 120V Plus a while ago, but now I'm looking more towards Noctua NH-C14 as it's one of the few high end cooler that will fit my case. Well, it all depends on the pricing in my region as both are good coolers (from what I've read).

Yes sir, both are excellent options. If you can go over liquid cooling, I would take that option but not the seidon....I prefer the H60i or similar, save you a lot of space inside the case if you know where to install the radiator.

I know this is an old topic, but im trying out the tx3 evo one my i5-4690k will post results.

I liked the tx3 cause of its size and i think it can be modded to do better than the 212evo.. But lets see

My pc before the tx3 was about 30-35c on idle. now im at 25-30c
Ran the benchmark unigine Heaven cpu went to 55-57c with stock cooler. now it's running 45-47c

Kind of a huge improvement if you ask me... 1 more fan and i think it can do alot more, btw my cpu is not overclocked.
