hi,

I have a Compaq Presario laptop, which uses Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD as its graphic card and it has a HDMI output.

I wish to connect it to my 20" LG W2042T LCD monitor, but the monitor only has VGA and DVI-D port.

so is it possible to connect my laptop's HDMI output to the monitor DVI-D port? if yes, will i be requiring a converter or a simple HDMI-DVI cable will suffice?

thanks for your help

I don't think it will work as the HDMI out is designed for connecting to a HDTV....but I might be wrong....
I know you can go from DVI to HDMI but that's it! Never heard of going HDMI to DVI.....sorry!
Remember this is a pc not a game-box....JQ
