does anyone know if these "speed your pc up" software work?

I read in mags alot that theres software to Make your ram run much faster and keep it optimised but i think up to £20 per month is pretty expensive specially if its a con, is there any free tools out there that may speed up my pc?

Yes ive tried google and when you type free its always a con and ends up as a trial.

Thanks

Yeh i maybe give the wrong impression i mean keep it at 100% performance, ive had the pc 2 years now and i can see it doesnt load up as quick anymore.

I do use CC Cleaner and always delete my temp files, what other tips do you have to speed it up?

There is no one single magic software that will make everything faster. But there is all kinds of system utilities and other programs could boost the overall performance of your computer in a number of areas, such as startup time and amongst other little things that all come together.

TuneUp Utilities is a pretty all-in-one nice package that can do a bit of everything, such as delete junk files and invalid registry entries, manage startup applications and tweak other windows settings - http://download.cnet.com/TuneUp-Utilities-2010/3000-18512_4-10206416.html?tag=mncol

Auslogics Disk Defrag is a pretty neat little program that helps you defrag - http://download.cnet.com/Auslogics-Disk-Defrag/3000-2094_4-10567503.html?tag=mncol

There's also the option to disable some of the appearance settings, such as animating windows.

I do, i used that defrag tool last night before i went to sleep and its really nice and switches your pc off for you :)

Tuneup is a trial and $45 is not worth it specialy after reading the reviews!

Thanks guys
