Sata 3 and obsidian 800d

Hello! Im installing a hd and an ssd in my obsidian 800d.

There is a panel that you connect the harddrives to, and that panel connects to the motherboard. (instead of connecting them directly)

Does this slow down the speed of the harddrives? Will I still benefit from having sata 3.0?

No, it won't affect the speed of the SATA connection. It's just there as a physical connector to mate with the removable drive trays - it doesn't affect the electrical signals.
