Hi, I have a potential problem...I seem to have filled up the "D" drive on my computer. I understand that this is where "System Restore" gets it's data to go back to an earlier date if you have a problem. My question is, what happens if your "D" drive gets filled and how can I get more space on it with out uncompromising future restore capabilities?

If your D drive is your manufacturers restore partition you had no business putting anything there. I can't imagine system restore would use it... it doesn't really do anything anyway... but there's an option to delete all but the most recent restore point in Disk cleanup. More likely you are using it improperly and need to delete the junk you put on there.

If its not a restore partition, delete stuff or buy a new harddrive

Thanks for your reply. If information got on the "D" drive by me, I'm not sure what I did to make it go there instead of say the "C" drive. Do you know how it could of happened? And if that IS what happened, how can I fix it so it doesn't happen again?
