XP SP2 Slipstreaming

A colleague has just informed me that Microsoft has
recommended you should not create a Windows XP SP2
slipstreamed CD from a Windows XP Professional SP1 CD as
it causes problems.

I cannot find anything about it on the web.

Does anyone know what problems it causes?

Matter of fact, I just did that today and it worked just fine. (as they any
previous SP I have been installing over the last 10 years or so, on a
multitude of MS products.
No problems installing, no problems using.
In their defense (not that they need it, nor could they probably care less)
I think it is safe to say that over the years MS has learned just a tiny
little bit on getting SP's out the door that work reasonanbly well. (OK,
they missed one or two :-))
The majority of the problems that people face with implementing SP2 find its
origin in the fact that during the formidable time between SP1 and SP2 an
enormous amount of (what I call) tinkering has been peformed by users on
their systems, thereby really bringing it on upon themselves that they now
have problems with SP2.
(Try customizing your car that much and then bring it back to the shop to
get something 'standard' applied to it. Chances are it won't get done.)

Just my take (democratic freedom of speech? :-)) and certainly no offense
