Will my hdd cause stutter?

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my 5-year-old rig to a mid-range gaming pc, gonna change almost everything (on a strict budget). One of the things I plan not to change is my hdd, but I came across an article which suggested that an old hdd can cause stutter in some games. I found my old receipt and this is the info on it about my hard drive:
Maxtor 160, SerialATA, 7200, 8192k
I'm asking will this be fast enough, or does it need to go too?

I pretty much have chosen the rest of the parts, I've already asked a few times about them on TH, I'm pretty satisfied, fast and competent replies.
