Is it possible to connect two different subnets without using router

is it possible to connect two different subnets without using router?

I'm sure a computer set up as a server could do that.

All the systems in my group have 2 network cards and 2 ip addresses having different subnet masks but then also they ar not able to access each other. If I let the systems on one ip address + 0ne subnet mask only, they are able to access each other.
I have to put both ip addresses with different subnet masks in the systems of my group as my servers are on different networks. Is it still possible to make them access each other. How?
