I have recently overclocked my i5-2500k, but no programs seem to show it. My motherboard's software shows that it is OC'ed to 4.4Ghz, but my gadget and CPU-Z say differently. Any ideas as to what is going on?

No need to disable SpeedStep. What you're seeing there is SpeedStep doing its job. Run Prime 95 (or another stress test program) to see it at full speed.

Alternatively, you can just change the power plan in Windows to High Performance. That will force it to full speed all the time.
