SATA 2 or 3 SSD on a SATA 2 computer?

Hey!

Which would you recommend, a Samsung 470 (SATA 2) or Samsung 830 (SATA 3) for a computer which has SATA 2? Is there any gains in taking the Samsung 830?

If you get the Sata 3 its backwards compatible with a Sata 2 motherboard, good to get if you want to keep it for your next pc upgrade.

I would get the 830. It's a newer revised version of the 470, has some supposed improvements to the memory configuration onboard, and tweaks to the firmware. With SSD technology still improving with every revision and every new product, I would always opt for the latest and greatest in this area, so to speak, as long as it fits your budget.
