What settings do you have to change to overclock your cpu

I only changed the bus speed from 200 to 220 because for some reason if i go upto 230 my computer doesn't start :/ do you have to change other settings aswell?

what is your complete system specs?
if you have an amd you may find a multiplier only Oc is your best option, we can't guess without knowing your chip,mobo and cooling though
