Upgrading question...

Hi guys my current specs:

CPU - AMD 7750 KUMA 2.7 GHZ OC to 3.2 GHZ
GPU - Sapphire 4830 512MB
RAM - 4 GB DDR2 Patriot Viper 4-4-4-12 800MHZ 2.2 volts
HDD - WD 640 GB Black
MOBO - ASRock A780 GMH

Which is a better upgrade choice:

Keep the 4830 Video card and buy Intel I7 920 CPU, X58 mobo and DDR3 mem

or

Just buy a Radeon 5850 GPU keeping else the same?

Which would be faster among the two?

Thinking about buying 25.5 inch monitor with 1920 X 1200 res
Purpose: MMO gaming (Star Trek Online), some Crysis, Far Cry2, CS, soon to buy Assasins Creed 2, watching HD movies, some Photoshop, media file server
