Hey guys, I'm going to purchase the i5 3570k for a new build and I have a few questions about it.
Yes I'm overclocking...

Well my budget is S1100, and I want the i5 3570k and wanted to overclock it. I want to know what is the safe max temp range for this CPU and the safe max voltage.

Further more I'd like to know which cooler would be best for cooling 4.4-4.7 GHz. Water cooling or air cooling. I'd like to stay away from Noctura seeing how big it is. But if it is insisted I'll switch out my G.Skill X series for a low profile memory. If that's the case can someone link me to some here are my pref:
Newegg.com
8Gb-2x4gb
Over 1600 speed

Also is the hyper 212 capable of keeping my temps at 75c-77c at 4.4-4.7GHz?
I was considering getting the H100 crossair.

My case will be a Zalman Z9 Plus
My mobo: something along the lines of AsRock Z77 extreme(not sure which number).

Thanks guys!

Are the 2 processors relatively the same OCing wise? If so apologies, didn't think they have th same max temps and what not.

I was thinking of doing this also but i have a lower budget and was going for a H60 instead of a H100 but only overclocking to about 3.8-4GHz

Hey guys I'm running the i5-3570k at 4.4Ghz with 1.276 voltage very stable. I'm also using the Corsair H100 and Cooler Master Storm Trooper case. I have the radiator assembled at the top with 2x 120 mil fans blowing air out the top. Idle temperature is 18C, moderate use(web, video) 26C, gaming 32C, stress benching 52C. As you can see its a pretty good deal cooler than some people report their overclocks. I imagine that they don't drop their voltage as is recommended by ASUS for overclocking the ivy bridge generation. A think they said a maximum of 1.35v and 4.8Ghz was to be expected.
