I am looking at purchasing a NAS device around 2 TBs. I will be using a gigabit connection. Currently using a raid 0 setup but is there much of a performance difference?

RAID 0 can increase transfer rates, depending on the stripe size of the RAID set and the average I/O size of your workload. But RAID 0 doesn't improve access times.

So you can expect RAID 0 to perform better for tasks that involve reading or writing large files. For tasks that involve a lot of random I/O (booting, starting programs) RAID 0 won't show much improvement.
