The 4770 should work fine for animations, etc. Its reasonably powerful card, and one that will mostly match your system without really causing too much of a CPU or GPU bottleneck.

Having a wider memory interface will increase your memory bandwidth. Give identical hardware with either 128 or 256 bit memory interface, the 256 bit interface will be significantly greater bandwidth and thus, much faster to access and use your memory, which can significantly improve your graphics processing.

More memory is not always better- it depends on whether the card can actually use it. If the price is close to the same, go with 1GB, but if there is a significant difference in price, go with 512. You are not going to be messing with high enough resolutions with a 22in LCD to need more than 512.

It will make the card faster if all the other hardware is the same.

sry for repeating.. can anyone suggest a graphic card other than ati HD 4770. because it not available here. some one saying 512mb card 6000rs and some one saying 8300rs. but the 4670 is available for 4500rs and 4870 for 13500rs. these are ready available. and in nvidia 9600gt 1gb for 6000rs and 9800gt 512mb for 6300rs.
so what do u suggest me? still go for HD4770 for any other. but i can spend only 6000rs or a little more. plzz
suggest me the best one. previously i have 9500gt 1gb but i am not saticified with that one.

If you are not satisfied with the 9500 GT, then you probably ant to go up to the 4870. The 4770 is a good card, but you said its not available. Also- the 9600 won't get significantly better than the 9500. the 9800 GT is a good bit better, but still probably won't be the increase you are looking for. Its similar to the 4770 I guess, but it uses a ton more power. 4870 is probably the card you'll notice the greatest improvement on.

4770 is better than the 9800GT. It's equal to the 8800GTS 512mb (so between a 9800GT and 9800GTX/GTS250)

A 4770 costs approx. $100 USD

The 9600GT will be much better than the 9500GT...roughly 5 tiers above it.

9500GT DDR3 ~/< 4650 DDR2 < 4650 DDR3 < 4670 ~ 9600GSO < 9600GT < 9800GT

Also, for the 4770, the 512mb is sufficient. It can't use 1GB of RAM.

Everyone is MISSING ONE THING OUT and i find this very common in tech forums!! Please read my answer! The PSU (Power Supply Unit) limits to how much power can be fed to your computer system and that limits you to what graphics card you can get. Also, your motherboard: DG965RY has a PCI-E x16 slot available which means that you can have the recent graphics card in your computer. The second thing is, we need to find the watts of your power supply unit, open up your case and at the back on the top should be a box and there should be a label saying the brand, model, watts of the power supply unit. If possible, there should be a table on the label and find the +12V and if there is +12V1 and +12V2, tell me under how much amps they are. Please reply back as to we can know what card will actually WORK in your computer.

dude get a 4850 with 450 Watt power supply.
It will be around 10000 rupees.
You will get every thing you want.
Be sure your power supply can take it

The 9800GT seems to be exactly you budget and from the prices you are quoting it seems to be the best buy as well. It will be roughly twice as powerful as your 9500GT. If your PSU is weak look for the newer low power versions that don't need a 6-pin PCIE power connector.

Hi saidutt2qt, the prices you are quoting are either from Pakistan or India, Anyway for 6000 rupees Pakistani which is about $72 if you take it the dollar is still at 83 rupees, You will not be able to buy yourself a difference in playability. My suggestion to you is to save a little more money and get to the point where you can buy atleast a 4850 1GB 256Bit, i read the replys about the 4860, Yes the 4860 is a better buy, but because its a new card, the price will be slightly inflated. Wait till you have enough money for a 4850. Now about the Power supply unit, yes it makes a difference, to enjoy a 4850 to its highest stock potential you need at least a 500watt psu, i would recommend a 600-650watt 80plus certified power supply so you won't have to change the power supply every time you want to upgrade your graphics card. Now if you are talking about indian rupees 6000 rps equal to $130 as the indian rupee is at 46 to the dollar. For $130 you can get a 4850 512mb 256bit for around 4500-4750 rupees. but may not leave you enough money to buy a 500watt power supply, but if you already have a power supply that is greater than 500watts, you should use all 6000 rupees and buy a 4850 1GB 256bit. Hope this helps.
