on June 8 and on June 15 my PC messed up on just a restart...my graphics card(ati 4770) fan keep spinning up and down but no post...so i turn my PC completely off and on(repeated this step) until it turn on...and it did work fine until today(June 25) i woke up and tried to turn my PC on nothing i heard my case fans and my graphics card fan going but thats it so i took out the graphics card nothing happen then i jumped the CMOS and sure enough the pc started fine...but windows 7 said that my index score needed to be refreshed. so i look at my PC spec and it said i had a total of 1GB of ram(i have 3GB of ram)so i turn off my PC and took out the 1GB card and tried to boot with just the 2GB ram card nothing happen my graphic card fan keep spinning(i thank thats due to my motherboard keep restarting trying to use the 2GB stick of ram)so i took out the 2GB card and but the 1GB card in the same slot as the 2GB card was in. presto PC turn on and booted to windows fine.
could this have been my problem the whole time?..funny i play games all the time and i have not had any issues with the 2GB card!! not little games either big games that use more then 1GB of ram like grand theft auto 4 and call of duty 5 ,crisis not 1 BSOD ever... please i really would like(need) help..i know its long but try to read my boring long post

If you insert the 2GB module and it doesn't work, then it probably has gone bad. Do both the 1GB and the 2GB modules have the same specs?

If you're positive that the module is bad, then RMA it.
