How can I fix external hard disk

Hello,

I have just connected an external disk using usb. When i try to access the G: drive but then asks to format the drive. I need the data what can I do. Can you please help?

Sound like a logical corruption, you can try the R-studio. But make sure you wont overwrite any data to your external drive. if you dont want to take the risk and the data too important to you. I strongly encourage you send all drives to a professional data recovery company before all chances of recovery are lost.
