Hey guys,

With the Corsair 500R stock fans, they seem to be fairly loud. I was wondering if I could change the fan speeds to Level 1 or do you guys think there is an optimal level for fans.

If you guys could notify me on the average fan level on 500R;

CPU FAN
Rear FAN
Front 2 FAN
Side FAN

Sorry first time builder, was keen to learn how to make a pc!

Thanks

Try to get safe temps at minimum fan load. So grab a Hardware Monitor like OpenHWMonitor or just HWMonitor and watch your temps.

I'd put your CPU fan to "silent" in BIOS

Set all your fans on low, watch your temps, play a game, etc.
If you're too hot, turn up the front fans.
Test Temps
If you're still too hot, turn up the rear fans.
Test Temps
If you're still too hot, turn up the CPU fan.
Test Temps

Chances are you'll have great temps at low fan speed, and you'll enjoy silence and cool computing.
