Is this a good overclock

I have my Phenom II x4 955 BE clocked at 4Ghz at 1.4125 volts in the bios. I have the CPU paired with a Hyper 212 plus cooler and have also changed the fan to Cooler Master Xtra flow 120mm Red LED fans in Push/Pull setup.

at idle, the temps are 36 to 38 degrees celcius and at load, they never cross 52 degrees.

I ran Intel Burn test for 10 minutes and LinX for 20 minutes as well. No errors were found. What do you think. I tried to reduce the voltage but I get blue screen while running Intel Burn test. so had to settle for a higher voltage. Is the voltage too much?

I tried running 3.8Ghz at 1.35 volts and it was stable.

You may settle with that 3.8ghz OC . Personally i don't recommend running today's CPUs at 1.4V and above on a long term basis. If you upgrades your CPU with in a year or two then no problem you can stay with that 4.0ghz OC, otherwise stay at 1.3xx V range.

All your numbers look good. You'll have to raise voltage above 1.35 to around 1.368v to get a stable 3.8ghz clock. AMD says the max for the 955 are 1.425v and 62c so everything looks good.

but many of you guys on Tom's suggest that 1.4 was good for a 4Ghz overclock. I have seen many people raising the voltage to 1.5.
