Memory help

my mother board is a GA-945-S2L.. now i am using a 1G ddr2 667mhz RAM, and i want to change it into 2G or 4G.. but as of today its hard to fin a 667mhz module.. can i use a 800mhz module for my mother board?? because in the manual it only said that it can only support a 667mhz ram??

plzz help me with this.. because i'm a newbie in upgrading computer and changing its specs..

800 MHz modules would probably work, although it would run at 667 MHz speed.

how about my processor?? my processor.. because my board only support the core 2 duo series.. and i want it to change into athlon II... will it also work??

No, because AMD uses completely different technology and motherboards. Your motherboard can support up some Core 2 Duo E7000 series which would make a decent upgrade, although you would also need to flash your BIOS.

ahh... so thats it.. but can i also use thr Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E8600
(6M Cache, 3.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB).. so that my 3d reneringcan be process faster?? or i am only limited to the E7000 series??

You're limited to a few E7000 processors which would be the fastest, and you'd need to flash your motherboard's BIOS to the newest revision as well.
