Hi, I haven't built a computer in years and I'm not exactly sure what parts are the best nowadays. I have a list and would like to know what you guys think?

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel
EVGA 896-P3-1258-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 SSC Edition 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP
Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5"
NZXT Guardian 921 CS-NT-GD921-B Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Rosewill Green Series RG700-S12 700W

No on the rosewill PSU, they are getting better but they are still a little sketchy.

What are you going to be using this system for? If you would edit into the format show in this sticky that would help a lot

LGA 775 is now dead so unless you are reusing an old board or an old processor you dont really want to go that route. You can go for an Intel i5 or an AMD Phenom II x4 for about the same price, which one is more appropriate depends on your budget and usage.

I definitely agree with hunter in going with an i5. I would not go for a 955/965 though. If you're willing to pay that much for a high end AMD, might as well splurge a tad more for an i5 IMO :). If your budget is limited, definitely consider one of the cheaper phenoms/athlons (x2 550, x3 720, x4 620, depending on what you are using this pc for).

Off the bat though, I rather get a 4890 over a gtx 260 at that price range. I'd look into a spinpoint f3 over wd's caviar black. And as hunter said, no rosewill :)
