Price increased

last month i had a plann of buying a harddisk of 500gb and i asked in store they told <2000Rs. but this month when i go to purchase they are telling 4000 around, i was shocked, and i also checked in net its 4000 only, can any one tell why there is sudden increase, shoul i wait to decrease or purchase now only.

Flooding in Thailand has temporarily (hopefully) driven hard drive prices up.

The price of hard drives has increased dramatically due to the flooding in Thailand.

I don't think there will be much of an improvement for many months to come so you can buy it now or wait a long time.
